HSC Commercial is an exciting addition to the existing teams within Tesco HSC and currently close to 400 people are associated with the service team, and growing. The HSC Commercial division in Tesco is responsible for the sales, revenues and margins for all the different categories across food, clothing and hardlines (which include media, appliances, furniture and papershop). The HSC Commercial domain is at the heart of our retail business where teams are responsible for generating margins keeping in mind our customer promises of "I can get what I want" and "The prices are right". The functions within the commercial division include range planning, forecasting, buying, international sourcing, supplier management, stock/availability management, corporate purchasing/procurement, analytics and marketing.
At HSC Commercial, we support UK, Ireland and Central European business in buying, merchandising, marketing, trading laws and technical, corporate purchasing and international sourcing functions and help them put in place best-in-class processes that enable better inventory/stock management, procurement, pricing, promotions, supplier management, trade analytics and critical path management enabling our business to improve sales and margin. The HSC Commercial team supports both stores and online businesses (catalogue and direct).
