A Fortune company, a global visionary, a retail innovator... these are terms attributed to Tesco. But there's more to add - education, awareness and humanitarianism. Tesco HSC reflects the attributes that Tesco follows wherever it is located. In Bangalore, Tesco HSC has undertaken community projects where our employees help in bringing smiles to the lives of those less privileged.
Our theme for the Corporate Responsibility program is "Empowerment through Education". This is our fifth year of engaging with corporate responsibility program supported extensively by our staff with a strong sponsorship and commitment from the management.

Tesco HSC has recently included a number of environmental initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint. We have quite a few energy-saving initiatives like solar water heating in the kitchen and gym, motion sensing lights in our conference rooms, power smart software for all desktops, LED lightings, catalytic converter for generators, etc. We have a green campus, wherein we’ve planted 75 tree saplings. We’ve also cultivated a herbal garden, in addition to our organic garden. There has been efficient recycling of water for our irrigation system, and a 5% reduction in supplies from external sources.
Tesco HSC employees also participates in the annual triathlon which is held in the UK every year. The triathlon is the annual Tesco charity event through which funds are raised to support various charities. Every year, people from HSC participate in this event and contribute towards this cause.
